Dead Sea Scrolls Presentation
You're invited to take a rare glimpse back into the past as Living Word sponsors a presentation on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
How were they discovered? What is their historical and ongoing significance? Find out the answers to these and other questions as Dr. Mark Braun, Professor of Theology at Wisconsin Lutheran College, talks about the Dead Sea Scrolls, Monday, March 22, 7:00 P.M. at Citizens Bank of Mukwonago - Waukesha Branch.
Christian Decision Making
"What should I do?" How often do you ask yourself that question, whether you realize it or not?
- What should I make for supper?
- Which route should I take to get home?
- Where should I send my kids for school, or should I teach them at home?
- Whom should I marry?
Some questions aren't that big of a deal; others are life-changing. In this study, we'll seek God's guidance in the decisions we make. We'll look at some decisions that aren't up for debate according to God's word, others that could go either way, and in general the principles we should follow in any decisions we make. Please join us on Sunday mornings!
Mere Christianity
How strong is your faith, and does it show? Andy Schaser is leading a study on C. S. Lewis' book Mere Christianity. In the book, Lewis digs into how the lives of Christians should reflect the faith in their hearts. This is a very practical study on how we need to live as children of light in a sin-darkened world.
Classes are held on Tuesdays (1st class was February 2) from 7:00 to 8:00 at Summit Woods, in the Summit Room. There will be total of 9 classes with the last class including a movie (Shadowlands) and fellowship. You do not have to attend all the classes. The book and snacks will be provided.
This is a great opportunity to invite a friend or family member that you have been wanting to introduce to Living Word. No pressure, just a book review.
If you have questions about the study, contact Andy Schaser.
How Grace Works
It's been said that grace fills a Christian's heart, but works fill a Christian's life. With that in mind, we'll begin a 4-week study of the first half of Paul's letter to the Romans. We'll see how the puzzle pieces of sin, grace, faith, works, and trials fit together in the Christian's life.
We'll meet at Le Caffé Bistro (on Sunset Ave. next to Culver's) at 9 A.M. each Thursday morning in the month of March. All you need to bring is yourself and your Bible -- and maybe a friend who would like to learn more about God's work and word in his or her life.
Tomorrow's Choice Fundraiser
Tomorrow's Choice is having a bowling fundraiser on March 27. They are also looking for male board members. Contact them at tomorrowschoice@yahoo.com if you'd like to participate.

Check the Circle Schedule for events.
Calendar Available
There is a traditional style calendar available online at Calendars Net. If you are a Living Word member and would like to be able to add events to this calendar, email Gary Sonnenberg for details about getting administrative access.
Since this calendar service is free, you may find that it is a little finicky at times. If you are presented with a blank page, reloading or refreshing it using the appropriate button on your browser (or pressing the F5 key on your keyboard) will usually solve the problem. If this becomes too much of a hassle for you, please contact Gary Sonnenberg with details of your troubles.
