Living Word Scrip Program

Living Word participates in a scrip fundraising program run through the Great Lakes Scrip Center. The program provides Living Word with the opportunity to raise money via purchases for items that you would normally buy anyway, so it costs you nothing extra to participate!

You can purchase gift cards in varying amounts for any of the scrip program's retail partners. There is no markup on the gift cards. For example, if you purchase a $20 gift card, that card is worth $20 in purchases at the designated retailer.

Living Word receives a percentage of the purchase amount from the retailer. Here's how this fundraising aspect works. If you purchase a Barnes and Noble gift card, for example, for $25, Great Lakes Scrip gives Living Word a 7% rebate, which equates to $1.75. Rebate percentages vary from one retailer to the next, normally falling between 2% and 25%.

There are hundreds of retailers that participate in the scrip program. These include gas stations, restaurants, clothing stores, online stores, and more. You can purchase gift cards for normal, everyday use or even give them away as gifts.

Watch for special, limited-time, bonus deals that provide additional incentives to purchase scrip from designated retailers.

If you would like to receive email updates from Great Lakes Scrip Center, you can register online for this service.

You can also order online at Shop with Scrip. First, you'll create an account. Then you'll link that account to Living Word by providing this code: 4DFED11F21929. (Note that the code is case-sensitive, meaning you'll have to use capital letters.) You may also want to link your checking account to your scrip purchases using Presto-Pay. Your purchases would then be automatically deducted electronically from your account.
